Perla is a U.S. Army veteran who knows firsthand what military life asks of individuals, couples, and families. After her time in uniform, she found her calling in helping others find their own strength — the kind that carries people through deployments, loss, transition, and the weight of everyday life.

She holds an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas A&M University – Central Texas and uses evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), adapting her approach to what works best for each client.

Strength Within Counseling is veteran, woman, and Hispanic-owned, with deep roots in the Killeen and Fort Hood community.
